The complex has 2 large studios that are perfect for TV / Film productions, music videos and band rehearsals. There is a mirrored dance studio for choreography sessions and fitness classes. Ronnie Garrett, a professional bass player who has played all over the world and has been in the music industry for more than 20 years. He has played the bass for greats such as, Aaliyah, Dru Hill, Monica, Deborah Cox, Isaac Hayes, Mya, Tamia, Will Downing, Jonathan Butler, Jennifer Holiday, Roy Ayers, Chante Moore, Boney James, Phillip Bailey, Beyonce, Maurice White (of Earth Wind and Fire), Toni Braxton ,Maysa, Destiny’s Child, The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Lionel Richie, 98 Degrees, Heather Headley, Diana Ross, Patti Labelle, Yolonda Adams, Gerald Levert, Carl Thomas, Natalie Cole, Chaka Kahn, Elton John, Kelly Rowland, and Usher – just to name a few. In addition, he performed on The Grammy Awards and The American Music Awards with Toni Braxton.
You may have heard his music on the Toyota, Ford, Honda, The NBA, and Nike commercials. To add to his credits, he has performed on Oprah, Live with Regis & Kelly, The Young and the Restless, MTV Cribs, Growing Up Gotti, Queer Eye For The Straight Guy, Star Search, Run’s House, Kimora Lee Simmons, True Hollywood Stories, Gotti’s Way, Paula Abdul, and MTV Exposed.
Ronnie is currently working with the very talented Tyler Perry. He is the Music Director for The Tyler Perry Company, composing songs for Tyler Perry’s Movies and Plays. He produced the sound tracks to “Daddy’s Little Girl”, “Madeas Family Reunion”, “Diary of a Mad Black Woman”, and “I Can Do Bad All By Myself”. His work with Tyler Perry earned him a Grammy Nomination in 2007.
Other sound track recordings include “The Fighting Temptations”, “Fame LA”, “The Associate” and Kazaam.
Ronnie is CEO of Big Bully Entertainment Music Production Company and The Bass Mint. He is band leader for two bands – Simply Irresistible and Jessie’s Girls.
